Jesse Sugrue, DVM, CVA (Owner)

Dr. Jesse Sugrue is a native of western Massachusetts, having been born and raised in Belchertown. Growing up, she always had a strong affinity for horses, and was an active member of the Swift River Pony Club. Dr. Sugrue graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 2010, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She split her non-academic time between riding at the equestrian center and playing in the soccer fields.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Dr. Sugrue moved down to Virginia to work for the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. While at the teaching hospital, she worked in both the ophthalmology department and in the small animal intensive care unit. After spending a year living in Virginia, Dr. Sugrue made the decision to attend the very same teaching hospital she fell in love with. In 2015, she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and became a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She practices both small and large animal medicine and has a special interest in equine podiatry and acupuncture. In her spare time, Dr. Sugrue can be found enjoying one of her many outdoor interests including trail riding one of her three horses and running with her “two perfect pups”, Diezel and Mac. In addition to her many pets, she shares her beautiful home with her husband Kyle and their son Oden.
