Meet Our Team at Mill Valley Vet!
Practice Manager | Client Service Representatives | Veterinary Technicians

Laura, Practice Manager
Laura started at Mill Valley Vet Clinic as a large and small animal technician while she completed her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary and Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has a love for animals and has always found ways to immerse herself in the field. Laura grew up riding horses and competing in the IEA, volunteering at cat shelters and animal sanctuaries, and participating in 4H clubs throughout her youth. With years of experience in the veterinary field and managing a team, Laura was the perfect fit to come on as our Practice Manager. Laura has a strong passion for animal care and customer service and is extremely grateful to have such a wonderful team of individuals who are all working towards a common goal. When she isn’t working, Laura is hiking with her dogs Merlin and Umber, spending time with her family and friends, and reading new books.
Client Service Representatives

Bren
Bren has been with Mill Valley for the past 16 years, where her passion for helping others has been the highlight of her career. Offering comfort to pet parents during times of sadness as well as being able to care for all the fur babies that walk through our doors brings her so much joy. Bren’s goal is to continue working with our team as she makes her way to retirement. Bren spends her free time redecorating spaces and cuddling with her sweet kitties, Oopie and Ollie.
Emily
Emily, a New York native, started her journey in veterinary medicine in 1994 when she realized her passion for animals. She graduated from high school in 1996 with a degree in agriculture. Over the years, she has worn many hats in the veterinary field and has worked her way up from a kennel attendant, to a veterinary assistant and technician and is now a client service representative. Emily began her journey with Mill Valley Vet when she moved to Belchertown in 2010 to start her life with her husband. Emily took a brief hiatus when she moved to Springfield in 2017, until she decided to reconnect with the Mill Valley team in 2022. Emily was looking to reconnect with her team and the community that embraced her when she first moved to Massachusetts. Emily loves what she does and has a strong passion working with fur babies and helping their humans.

Janis
Janis has been a Belchertown native her entire life, and joined Mill Valley after her daughter became the practice owner in 2019. Janis is a horse lover at heart, although she wishes she had more free time to be able to ride. She loves her three cats; Lucy, the hunter who keeps the home and barn rodent free, Kurt, the oldest and most lovable, and Gray who has the worst temper. Janis loves her job and is grateful for all of the people she gets to work with every day!

Sarah
Sarah started at Mill Valley back in April of 2017 in order to gain experience in a mixed practice, after working for several years at another veterinary clinic where she was a skilled surgical technician. She has always had a passion for animals, and grew up on a small farm with cows, pigs, goats, and chickens. Sarah’s favorite aspect of the veterinary field is seeing the bonds created between animals and their humans. Sarah’s favorite fur baby was her pet cow named Duke. In her down time, Sarah enjoys hiking with her German Shepherd Daisy, kayaking with her friends, and reading. Sarah loves her job because of her dream team at the front desk and all of the other people she works alongside.
Zak
Zak joined our team in 2021, with the goal of becoming more involved in helping the animals of his very own community. He has a lifetime of experience pet sitting as well as over 8 years of customer service experience in a variety of different environments. Zak hopes to grow with our team and to learn more about veterinary medicine, and even though he is just beginning his journey, he has already made great strides in becoming a valuable team member. Mill Valley is his clinic close to home with all the services needed to keep his beloved pets happy and safe. Zak spends his free time hanging out with his 17 year old cat, Kitty, and 4 year old dog, Maxi who is a lab and basset hound mix.
